My name is Bro. James H. Knight I am forty two years old the husband of Mrs. Tammy L. Knight, and father of two boys, Jayson Andrew and Stephen Joseph. And both of them are a chip off the old block.  I am a former US Marine.  I was saved in March of 1994 at Calvary Baptist Church in Becker Mississippi, where I was licensed to preach and later received ordination into the gospel ministry.  I have earned my Bachelor’s degree in Theology and am a graduate of biblical studies with over two hundred hours of accumulated study, and currently working on more.  I do believe in continuing education. My wife Tammy is a graduate of Itawamba Community College, and my sons’ schoolteacher.  She is also a graduate of Biblical Studies and has earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sacred Theology, finishing her work Summa Cum Laude. We have been actively involved in the ministry since December of 1996. After being asked to come to Calvary Baptist Church  of Shannon, MS in 2007 we moved into the parsonage in December of 2007.  We are a small-town Baptist Church with a desire to see the Lord’s work go forward both at home and on the foreign mission field.  It is our desire that something on this web-site may be a blessing.  Thank you and God bless you.

We Believe:

That the Bible is the inerrant, infallible Word of God, preserved for the English speaking people through the authorized King James Version.

In God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

In the deity, virgin birth, death, burial, and the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

In Salvation by Grace, plus nothing, minus nothing, through the Blood of Jesus Christ.

The Conditions for salvation are repentance and faith as a result of Holy Ghost conviction.

That men are justified by faith alone and are accounted righteous before God only through the merit of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and His precious Blood.

In the eternal security of the Believer, and that you can know that you have eternal life.

In the visible, personal, pretribulational, and premillenial return of Jesus Christ.

In the everlasting conscious blessedness of the saved in the very presence of Jesus Christ.

In the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost, in a literal burning lake of fire.
